Happy International Older Persons Day!
Today, we celebrate the wisdom, resilience, and contributions of older adults in our communities. At Circle Voluntary Housing Association, we are committed to supporting the older members of our communities. With this in mind, we eagerly await the upcoming launch of Housing with Supports, Richmond Place, a transformative housing initiative in collaboration with OBFA Architects.
Richmond Place will feature 52 age-appropriate properties designed to empower our older people to live with dignity and independence. With a focus on universal design principles and own door living, residents will benefit from onsite supports, ensuring they can thrive in their own homes and age in place.
This project stems from the dedicated efforts of our partners Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Department of Health – Ireland, ALONE, Health Service Executive, Dublin City Council, Age Friendly Ireland and the Irish Council for Social Housing. This project is aimed at creating an integrated community that values and supports our older population.
