My name is Rachel Gallagher, and I am the HR Manager in Circle VHA. I hold a Masters in HRM and have over 5 years of experience working in HR. I have spent most of my career to date working in the areas of housing and homelessness. I can honestly say I love my job and below is a list of my three favourite things about working for Circle VHA!
Our people: We have an extremely friendly, approachable, and supportive team of people working in Circle VHA. We are a diverse workforce with people coming from all different backgrounds and skillsets.
The flexibility: I feel that our organisation has adapted extremely well to the Covid-19 pandemic, they have even committed to an agile way of working in the future and this is written into all employment contracts. This will allow employees to work either remotely or in the office. I like this for two reasons as not only does it allow for a better ‘work/life balance’ but it allows us to employ candidates from across all over the country as there is little need to be based in Head Office.
The cause of our organisation: I always have (and always will) believed that people have a right to housing and that accessing and retaining a home is key to being happy and successful in other areas of life. I love the ‘Tenant First’ approach that Circle has committed to and the ‘WE HEAR’ values which align closely to my own personal values.
Eleanor Kilby-Grainge, HR Administrator
My name is Eleanor Kilby-Grainge, I am the HR Administrator at Circle VHA. I began working at the organisation in July 2021, and I have previously completed my CIPD Level 5 Human Resources Management Certificate, and I am currently working towards the IBEC Employment Law Diploma. I have always felt that everyone has the right to safe and affordable housing and, the security and comfort this brings. I am thrilled to be part of the dedicated team at Circle VHA and I am truly committed to doing all I can to support our Tenant First objectives and our shared ‘WE HEAR’ values.
What I enjoy about my role is that I get to meet our Tenants, old and new daily and I make sure everything is good inside and outside of their homes. Circle VHA is a great company to work for I’ve really enjoyed working here and hope to work here for many more years. Everybody from the CEO down is really friendly and easy to talk to.

I really enjoy the fact that in my role I get to experience a little bit of everything that’s going on in the services department. My job has quite a wide scope, which means that every day is really varied and that certainly keeps things interesting! I love that I have the opportunity to work as part of a great team who are determined to make a positive impact on the lives of our tenants’.
Aoife O’Fearghail
– Housing Administrator
My job varies and I love that every day can be different. I have found that each person within Circle will always make time to help you, no matter how busy they are, and that is one of the greatest characteristics of its staff. My colleagues work very hard and are very dedicated and tenant focused. For me one of the highlights of my job is meeting new people which includes our tenants and engaging with them to try change their homes for the better’.
