Tenant engagement is about tenants playing a role in helping us to improve our services and performance. We want to encourage all tenants to get involved in shaping our services, by sharing their experience and telling us where we can improve or make changes.
These are some of the many ways you can get involved.
Meet Our Tenant Engagement Officer
Hello, I’m Claire McDonnell, Circle VHA’s Tenant Engagement Officer (TEO). I work alongside our Tenant Advisory Group known as TAG. In 2021, Circle VHA launched our Tenant Communication and Engagement Strategy, which was created by our tenants and staff.
They shaped the Strategy by sharing their thoughts and views on what our action plan should look at and how tenants could meaningfully engage within Circle VHA. What makes this Strategy unique is that it is monitored by the Tenant Advisory Group at their meetings. They make sure that the action plan is being completed. In other words, the tenants are holding Circle VHA accountable and making sure tenants are at the heart of everything we do and the choices we make.
Everyone at Circle VHA has committed to a ‘Tenant First’ approach, and to deliver what is important to our tenants, we need you to be involved!

Tenant Communication and Engagement Strategy
At Circle VHA, we firmly believe that how we interact with our tenants, communities, colleagues, and key stakeholders is of fundamental importance.
We embrace and are grateful for the commitment from our tenants, especially as this Strategy was created and launched during a global pandemic. Many of our tenants have experienced hardship due to Covid-19 and yet came forward to be part of an exciting project for Circle VHA.
Our tenants stepped up to the plate and have helped us deliver our first real Tenant Engagement Strategy, with them. We are committed to delivering this Strategy over the next three years. We will match our tenant’s ambition and dedication by providing the best and most appropriate services and supports that our tenants deem important and that will enhance their communities.

Feedback and Satisfaction
To better understand what is important to you and where we need to focus energy and resources, we have commissioned Acuity, an independent research company, to carry out surveys on our behalf. Since July 2021 Acuity have been contacting tenants to ask about your experience of being a Circle tenant. They have also been contacting new tenants, those who have had a repair recently completed, and those who have raised a complaint with us.
We want to thank everyone who has taken part so far for their time and feedback. These surveys allow us to review and improve the services we offer you. You can take a closer look at this data clicking the reports below.
