The Board of Circle Voluntary Housing Association is delighted to announce the appointment of John Hannigan as Chief Executive Officer with effect from 18th September 2017.
John Hannigan has held the position of Managing Director of Sunbeam House Services since 2010. In addition to being a large service delivery organisation, Sunbeam House Services is a recognised Approved Housing Body. Prior to that, John worked as Finance Director with Respond! Housing Association.
John succeeds Justin O’Brien who is retiring in September following 14 years in the role, for which the Board thank him most sincerely. During his time with Circle, Justin was centrally involved in the development of the organisation from start up to a tier 3 size housing association, now operating 28 schemes across Dublin and Kildare. Also during his time, Justin was a significant part of the vision and commitment for Circle which has led to numerous sectoral awards relating to quality of service and innovation.
Circle Voluntary Housing Association was set up in 2003 to provide high quality social and affordable housing to families and individuals in the Dublin area on local authority housing waiting lists. Circle VHA is registered with the Charities Regulatory Board, the Residential Tenancies Board and has certified status from the Housing Finance Agency. Circle VHA works in partnership with tenants, statutory and community-based agencies to enable socially responsible, environmentally acceptable and sustainable communities in its developments. Circle VHA also provide facilities management services.
Circle Voluntary Housing Association is embarking on a period of further growth, through development of new schemes and partnerships with other housing associations.
