Gemma Kavanagh appointed as Circle’s new Chair of the Board of Directors

Circle is pleased to announce the appointment of Gemma Kavanagh as the new Chair of its Board of Directors.

Most recently serving as Interim Chair and as a member of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, Gemma has been a valued member of Circle’s Board since 2021. With extensive experience in financial services, Gemma brings strong expertise in governance, compliance, and risk management.

Currently Group Risk Valuation Director at Intrum, a leading European credit management services company, Gemma’s previous roles have included Senior Risk Analyst, Relationship Manager and Compliance and Risk Manager. Gemma has a comprehensive understanding of banking and credit servicing. A Chartered Accountant (ACCA) and qualified Tax Advisor (IATI), she holds a degree in Business Studies and Finance and a Master’s in Financial Economics.

Gemma’s appointment as Chair comes at an exciting time for Circle as the organisation continues to expand its services and strengthen its commitment to excellence, transparency, and community impact through its new organisational strategy, NITI Plan 2027.
